\u201cBusiness as usual\u201d<\/strong> is never our usual here at EDC\u00ae. Innovation here begins in the ideation, design, & development of all our solutions. We invite anyone to suggest an idea for a new product or for additional features within an existing product, and in addition to gathering broad industry expertise for anything we do, EVERY person on our internal team, regardless of role or tenure, has a voice in features, user experience, applications, etc. We\u2019ve found that innovating <\/strong>by including insights from not only developers and designers, but also book keepers, marketers, administrative assistants, sales people, etc. provides out-of-the-box ideas and observations that make everything we do better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt\u2019s always been done that way\u201d<\/strong> never constrains our EDC\u00ae team nor the tech\/software solutions we provide. When we know a better way, when we see more that can be done, when we know how \u201cit\u2019s always been done\u201d is not best, we innovate <\/strong>in going our own way to do and provide better. A great example of this is in our recent rollout of MERCED\u2122 \u2013 an AI tool and development environment. You\u2019ve likely heard the chatter surrounding the use of AI within the industry (financials, regulations, employee info, P&Ps, etc.). Other AIs require that you send your private company and client data to them to process, which not only puts your data security and privacy at risk, endangering you and your business channels, but also provides your private insights to that third party to learn from and apply to recommendations to other companies who may inquire on similar topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We knew there needed to be a better way, so we challenged the \u201cusual\u201d and \u201calways\u201d and innovated <\/strong>to design MERCED\u2122, which provides amazing AI, development, & integrated tools for our customers, but doesn\u2019t require that data be sent to third parties, keeps those insights entirely privite, and personalizes the experience for only the specific customer\u2019s use. To quote Ol\u2019 Blue Eyes, \u201cWe did it our way!\u201d regardless of how others had been doing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI guess we\u2019ll have to live with it\u201d<\/strong> is a surefire challenge to birth amazing innovations <\/strong>here at EDC\u00ae. We refuse to accept \u201ccan\u2019t be done\u201d or settle for \u201cgood enough,\u201d and that sums up our commitment to the industries and customers we serve.
